R.I.P. Parasound JC 1 monblock amps

Just noticed that Parasound has discontinued the venerable and arguably legendary JC 1 monoblock amplifiers. One of the favorite amps I have owned, especially when used in high bias mode.

Raising a glass to the JC 1 and hoping that a "JC 1+" replacement is in the works!

It's bridgeable. But for some crazy reason it won't run a 4-ohm load in bridge mode. makes it "useless".

John Curl just spoke at our Audio Society meeting and said a new version of the JC1 will be coming out soon.

Really good sound, really good value. I'm probably going to downsize because of space, but it will be to a JC 5, and Monitor Audio PL100II.
