I have never used wax. But a swiffer deal has always been a quick great tool for me.

I've used an automotive wax (or was it a glaze?) from Chemical Guys on a pair of NHT VT-2s in gloss black with awesome results. They were on a friend's speakers, though, so I cannot comment on how long they stayed looking pretty.

Am wondering if putting a coat of car wax (real wax, no cleaner) on same would help? Anyone tried wax and what are your results?

Those brushes on the vacuum hoses will leave fine scratches much faster than say a microfiber cloth and especially if proper wax is applied a few times.

As it was already said before in this topic, check auto detailing techinques.
Any high quality automotive quick detailer or spray wax will do the trick. I use Meguiar's products (Last Touch, Ultimate quick wax etc.)

The key thing is to never use dry clothes or even microfiber towels to clean the surface.
Always use damp microfiber towel, spray quick detailer or wax on the towel, not on the speaker. Lightly collect any dust with one side and then use the clean side with slightly more pressure to spread the product evenly. The quality of microfiber may vary! It has to have about 20% polyamide. Never use microfiber for glass cleaning. The cloth from Canton is rather for glass cleaning too, I use it for touch displays )))

You can also use carnauba paste wax to get better gloss and scratch protection. At home it will last years when using cleaning method described here.

Yes, not all microfiber clothes are created equal. I use Griot’s Garage products in general.

If you're a vinyl enthusiast, usually a 12 gauge takes care of the CD.

I use this on the non wood sections of my Ushers. It's called Gerlitz Smudge Off.
