Hi Raven,

it could be the line stage tubes, or also the power supply regulation tubes. For example, the 6X4 has a 2000hrs life expectancy. Good news is that 6X4 NOS tubes are pretty cheap, about 15 USD.

Much like my dear colleague I have owned two as well, the Masseto and the Vosne, they too were and are completely silent during both warmup and playback. I concur with his guidance.
