Donald Fagen: The Nightfly on MoFi UltraDisc 1-Step, 45RPM, 2 LP -- Few Copies Remain

This is the 3d in the MoFi UltraDisc One-Step series and the flyer I received this morning states, few copies of the 6,000 copy run remain.

This is a preorder and expected delivery/release is 15 October 2017.

$99.99 each & no further discounts can be applied, 2 copies per order and FREE shipping.

If you are unfamiliar with the new MoFI One-Step series, the previous 2 were Santana Abraxas, followed by Bill Evans Trio - Sunday At The Village Vanguard.

Both command extremely high secondary market prices -- as they are no longer in print (Sold Out) and WILL NOT be making any further runs.

Best Sir,

Bob

Thanks for the reminder. I needed to order another copy of this before it went away.

Can someone please help me understand how a fully digital recording can sound better on vinyl?

I have had SQ swing either way depending on mastering.

Agree w/ mastering is extremely important here. I have copies of this album, both digital and original pressing. It sounds great on both. Personally, this is not an album I reach for ... ever. I would not pay $100 for a direct copy of master tape itself, but that's just me.

When MoFi takes a leap and releases a UD1S of something that is not another audiophile warhorse that already sounds outstanding on many many other available formats, then I may consider dropping a Benjamin on a new record.
