Hey Kevin,

Thank you for posting this. We are happy with Srajan's review! He tends to be fair and honest with his reviews of our products.

Love mine. Great DAC.

I am very surprised there is not more fan buzz about this DAC given the favorable pro reviews mentioned above. I have only seen three of these DAC's show up on the used market in the USA, which seems to suggest that people who have it really like it. But if that is the case (which I assume it is), why is this thread so dormant?

Good question, I liked my regular DAC2 and the 10th takes it up several notches. In fact I'm a huge fan of the brand in general, I've got the DAC, a Recovery, a Reclocker and their linear PSU (can't recall the name) all in my system right now. I agree w/one review that mentions the 10th can be a bit too resolving when it comes to poorly mastered discs, but that isn't really a fault of the product. It's just reproducing what's on the CD. As mentioned in another post the service from the company is beyond excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of the products I've mentioned.

IMHO, Wyred is a truly great company.

I'm contemplating a system upgrade soon, and also thinking of getting the Anniversary. Currently using a DAC2DSDSE with femto clock and I like it so much that I haven't been motivated to upgrade. I did own a Bricasti M1 as well as a Berkeley Alpha2 for a time, which were both very nice, but I've now sold both because the DAC2SDSE was ultimately the most enjoyable in my system. (It's amazing that the DAC2DSDSE can compete with DAC's 4x the price)

Part of my upgrade will involve bi-amping the speakers, and for wooofers I'll be ordering a pair of SX1000R's.

I am still enjoying my DAC2 but the upgrade bug is biting and I am going to either send in my DAC2 for an upgrade, or buy a refurbished unit from Wyred and sell my DAC2. It all depends one the net cost of the upgrade.

Either way, it will be less money going thru Legend Audio aka me.
