General question
 

So right now, my whole focus is single seat, fully focused sound.

I understand that if the room is used fully (i.e. like a living room or a large listening space with multiple seats), then perhaps diffusors are a good choice tokeep the room from sounding too dead..

... but if your focus is a single sweet spot with best possible staging focus, should I be more heavily focused on traps and absorbers?

Front wall: 242 x 6
Rear wall: 244 x3
Side wall: 242 x 3 on each
Ceiling: Not yet installed, perhaps 242 x4

I do have some corners and some areas where I could fit in a diffusor along the sides (sort of like alternating between absorbers and diffusors).

I was looking at the alpha series, perhaps something like a tritrap.

I would advice you to take contact with G.I.K acoustics as they have a free service with advice, and i have used it myself. They are really helpful with all kind of questions you may have.
Later this month i will order what they recommended to me , and i am of course very interested to see what it will do to my own room.
So just go ahead to the website , there is a form you can fill out and then they will get back to you really fast.

Joey, my room (14'6" x 24') is single seat focused as well. I've placed emphasis on corner bass trapping and first point of reflection. With windows both front and rear, they are dealt with by means of heavy lined drapes and acoustic foam behind,

Sounds like they recommend absorption if focus is what I'm looking for, but if I want to improve the sound of the entire room from multiple seating points, then some diffusion is in order. I will email them again and see if they recommend alpha products with bass corner traps as Dave mentions above.

Definitely Glenn recommends a few 242 on the ceiling. That's what I'm sorely missing.
