TONEAudio issue 21 ready for download...
Hey troops:
This one was a burner, but hope you enjoy it. A little bigger, file wise than our last issue, but lots of full page gear and music pics for your enjoyment. Also, we have just started working with Music Direct, so we are linking their LP selections to our music reviews... If you see something that is on vinyl and you are interested, you can just click on the album cover to go to their site and pick it up. http://www.tonepublications.com/MAGPDF/TA_021.pdf Time to drink! :) |
Thanks Jeff, looking forward to reading it! The links to LPs is a great idea.

Nice job as always Jeff ... and 2 McIntosh reviews to boot! (MC252, MCD500).

Well I just ran through it, what a knockout, once again, Jeff!
Your photographer did a wonderful job on all the angle shots of both the 252 & the 500. |
Actually, I take about 95% of the pics in the magazine, both the equipment and the live shots...
So thanks for the compliment! I was pretty happy about that shot of Brad Paisley on the cover too! Lots of fun stuff this issue though... Enjoy! I can take a couple of days off... Woo hoo.. |
Hi Jeff.....there must be alot of people dl it 'cause I can't get access to it. Will try at different times of the day and see what happens.
btw...love reading and looking at the great pics.....you got talent there:thumbsup: |
Jeff

Tonepub.......Jeff, I thoroughly enjoyed issue 21, and in particular the reviews of the Burmester 061, and the MCD500. It was interesting to discover the Burmester had digital inputs, and playback made use of 192Khz, just like the MCD500 does at half the 061 price tag.
One other compliment, the quality of the photography in Tone is excellent. I appreciate the clear, and uncluttered photos of the gear. That is exactly what a perspective buyer is wanting to see. Another great issue. Thank you Dan |

I must add though that the Burmester does have improved redbook performance over the MCD, but the fact that the Mac has excellent SACD playback and variable outputs does make it a pretty darn good value! Now if Burmester will just send me that $65,000 CD player! :) |
As always...it's very nice, and I look forward to your review of the 60th Anniversary MC75 "set".
|
Doin' the download now.
Thanks! |
Tone Issue 23 is out, and I enjoyed a number of the articles, including the piece on Rega.
