New Delta Pre
I heard from a source within Classé that the new Delta Pre will be available in early 2019. Anyone else as interested as I am?

Sound United acquired Classé Audio in January. Details here for reference.

how reliable is your source? would be very nice to see a new delta line in total :D

Good news indeed...if true. As an owner of Classe Delta equipment it would be nice to see an updated product.

My source is in a position to know and to influence the outcome. The wild card in my mind is the new ownership of the company, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Yet if Sound United really wanted the Classé brand -- they did buy it -- I think the new preamp will happen.

I believe Classe was pretty close to finishing the next generation of Delta series components before their future came in doubt and the last minute acquisition occurred. I remember reading about Classe playing them at an audio show about a year ago. So they probably put the finishing touches on the products and are preparing to release them already.
I owned a CP-800 and a CA-2200. They were among my first high end components. I'm glad this company will continue. It will be interesting to see what speakers they synergize with in the future as Bowers and Wilkins is no longer under the same ownership. |
I understood that they moved the manufacturing for all Classe products to Japan - Marantz. Is this true?
I hope that that will make sure that the products are a bit more reliable. I used to own the Classe Sigma SSP and Amp2, but had to return it because the SSP was faulty and they said that they couldn't repair it. If the new Delta line sees daylight and they are made to the high standard everyone expects, I might upgrade again. |
