Hi - I was wondering if you had a problem with the original EL8 cable coming in and out. When i plug mine into my mac, I have to fiddle with it sometimes to keep the sound in both ears. The headphoens were never dropped, no damage, bought new. Thanks for any info

Hmmm... very occasionally if I move my head just right putting extra strain on one side or the other. But it comes right back on. If I am just sitting and listening I never have any issues.

Thank you.

I know there are a lot of EL-8 owners out there. The only real complaint I have read is that people are not happy with the cable that is include from Audeze (and I concur). I would highly encourage any EL-8 owner to look into one of these replacement cables. It moves the headphone to a whole other level!

Sorry to be so late in my query but do cables make a improvement on performance of headphones, the EL-8 in general? By the way, I have the EL-8 OB...excellent headphone!

Yes, the C3 cable makes a notorious improvement on the performance of EL-8. I bought the Canare version for my EL-8 OB and you perceive the difference through the whole range. Bass more defined, natural midrange and clearer highs . The Canare version is the entry level...
