At one time I owned four MC601's at the same time. I had two in the living room system and two in the studio system. The two MC601's in the studio were eventually replaced with a pair of MC2301's. The pair of MC601's in the living room system are powering the PMC EB1i speakers and still rocking the house. They are astonishing power amps.

Dan... that's one great looking rack; chock full of top shelf gear!

Dan...That is some awesome looking gear!

The MC601 is an exquisitely refined powerhouse, capable of driving any speaker to it's ultimate performance, with control and subtlety. It is McIntosh's iron fist in a velvet glove that punches way above its weight.

I bet they really make those PMC's sing!

This sure looks like a nice club to be in....but I guess I'll just have to stay over yonder in the MC501 club...:D

I hope it was okay that I snuck in for a minute....:smoking:

Dan....this seems suspiciously like a not-so veiled reference to an analogy once made about our beloved MC501 amplifiers! :scratch2:

This is the other pair of MC601's I had in the studio system. I traded these a little over three years ago for the MC2301's in the studio now. The MC601's were driving the SF Amati Anniversario's. Spectacular.
