Ivan.......I will be interested in hearing what you think of these small TAD's. Reading about them, it seems there may be a TAD subwoofer in the TSM line coming along soon. Looking at the graph above, it appears a subwoofer dialed in at about 80 Hz would support the bottom perfectly, turning this small package into a reasonably priced full range system. A pair of these out in my work shop would be great, perhaps driven by my McIntosh MA5100.

They look like they are intended for the pro audio market.

From some user reviews I've read, they are supposed to be spectacular. My $180 pioneer Andrew Jones designed speakers are awesome for the money. These, I am sure, will be great.

Stephen.......I think if they were directed at the pro audio market the TAD TSM-2201-LR would be an active speaker, most likely biamped, similar to the JBL LSR6328P's I use in the studio.

I use two of the JBL LSR6328P's at the digital work station in the control room, and I use three more in my home theater system for center, right rear and left rear channels. The JBL LSR6328P is an excellent active 2-way monitor.

JBL LSR6328P Near Field Monitor
Active Bi-Amped Speaker - 250 watts (8" carbon fiber composite woofer) + 120 watts (1" damped titanium composite dome tweeter)
108 dB maximum SPL
Weight - 39 lbs.
