QX-5/20 v DX-5 DSD DAC

Has anyone done a comparison, and if so which do you prefer? I realize I have both sitting in a rack and suppose I could do so once the ultraRendu and LPS-1-2 are delivered -- USB straight from the iMac to the DX-5 DSD might not be a fair comparison.

Having second thoughts about moving QX-5 to living room with A7e integrated and KEF LS50s. It's now with KX-5/20 preamp, KV-5/20 amp, KEF Reference 1s and Velodyne HGS-15s, but thought to substitute the DX-5 DSD and ultraRendu for the QX-5. Maybe better to use the ultraRendu and Codex with the A7e where it would replace a microRendu, and leave the QX-5 where it is.

I also have both and prefer the qx5 by a significant margin.

Thanks, Esolecky, I suspected that might be the case from the reading I've done. I'll continue to use the QX-5 as my primary Roon endpoint and replace the microRendu with the ultraRendu in the secondary setup.

Gary at Ayre told me the DAC of the DX-5 DSD is excellent, but that of the QX-5 is even better. So primary setup remains QX-5/20 and DX-5 DSD sources to KX-5/20 preamp and KV-5/20 amp driving KEF Reference 1s, supplemented below 40 Hz by a pair of Velodyne HGS-15s. Secondary setup is ultraRendu USB to Codex, balanced analog to Ayre A7e integrated amp driving KEF LS50s.
