Love hearing about local and family businesses. Hiller sent a project manager and another 3 men crew for a custom replacement! Also, so refreshing to see the guys wearing shoe coverings, lots of respect and a level of care for your home! Kudos to the team!

I noticed Kris calibrated the HT. That’s awesome, now enjoy many years in cool and good health!

By the way, that Ford monster truck looks like it can tow a boulder with power to spare!

audiogear,

Yes the new replacement Mitsubishi is doing an excellent job and bonus of No-Noise on low fan.

Hiller is a 1st class operation out of Nashville, TN.
I have been using them for probably like 25-30 years now.
And as you noticed the Techs do wear the Protective Foot Covers to Protect the Home Owner's carpet and floors.

That Ford truck is a Killer-Machine and it runs Really-really well with it's Twin-Turbo engine.

Speaking of how much noise is the New Mitsubishi ???

Guys,

I was just asked multiple times about noise from the Newly installed Mitsubishi split-unit ???

sddp,

If your one of the AVS members that post with me and follows what I post https://www.audioaficionado.org/data...ABAAEAAAIBRAA7
And I think you are ^^^

Then you already know I say exactly the way I see things and do my best NOT to Mislead other AVS members.

Okay I decided that a reply with text would suffice but I actually think in this case a HD 1080P video would be Much-much better.

When you watch and Listen to the video below you really need to turn your VOLUME-UP to where my voice is way too LOUD !!!
The reason being is so you can actually Hear what you're asking me about the Mitsubishi split-unit noise level on LOW Fan.
Also for reference I'm sitting 10' 6" from where I sit to the Center of the Mitsubishi split-unit as a reference.
I also have the Samsung Model S22 Cellphone but in the video I couldn't recall which darn Model I currently have. https://www.audioaficionado.org/data...ABAAEAAAIBRAA7
It's ability to record is very sensitive so doing this video with it should easily suffice and give you your answer to NOISE-Level on the Mitsubishi.

Note*
when I switch from only the Mitsubishi to turning on the RS4100 and all the Audio components I'm pretty sure you will hear what I'm describing in the video.
But ...............
Pay Very-very close attention to when I TURN-OFF the Audio-Components that's when you will immediately hear a DISTINCT difference in Noise Levels between the two.

Once again Turn your Volume-Up.

Ivan,

Previously I had the Samsung and it worked well for 11-years.

But, my opinion is the New Mitsubishi 16-Seer, 24,000 BTU unit is definitely a Step or so up.

And it's also Very-very quiet if on Low-Fan.

Guys,

Here is what I've been up to recently.

.

January 9th 2024

Latest up-date on me ordering the Focal Sopra "Center-Channel-Speaker" in Metallic Black.

Yesterday morning I get a call from Charles my A/V dealer https://hosting.photobucket.com/imag...080&fit=bounds in Nashville, TN.
He informs me that he is now approved for the Focal Sopra line of speakers.
However ...............
Terry, my Focal distributor informed me that the Focal Sopra "Center Channel Speaker" will have to go back to the Focal manufacturer in France to be Custom manufactured.
It could be as long as 2-Months.

Keep reading guys if you also do business with a favorite A/V dealer like I do.

Charles said if you can still get hold of the guy that has the unit for sale and a price you can live with ???

I, Charles, say go for it so you don't have to possibly wait maybe 2-Months.

How many A/V Dealer Principles would tell one of their customers that to help the customer and it not put 1-Single-Red Penny in their pocket.

So, when I have had AVS members over the years ask me why do I do as much business as I possibly can with https://hosting.photobucket.com/imag...080&fit=bounds and Charles.
That's why he is without Any-Doubt a Stand-Up-Fellow IMHO.

As they say here is the "Rest-of-the-Story" on the Focal Sopra "Center Channel Speaker".
I did get hold of Jerry and we did agree on a price both of us could live with.
As it turned out he lives in Columbus, Ohio.

That's where I flew into back in 2017 to pick-up my newly purchased Dodge Challenger Hellcat in Yellow and drove it back home.

https://hosting.photobucket.com/imag...080&fit=bounds

Before talking with Jerry when he called me after I left him a Private-Text-Message I was considering driving up in person and picking it up and making a round trip out of it.

But, thankfully, Jerry is the owner of a local Insurance Agency in Columbus, Ohio and said, "Terry, I'll ship it to you today at my UPS Rate so no need to do all that driving buddy".
Well guys we quickly wrapped up our business and Jerry dropped it off at UPS as he said he would.
Super nice guy to do business with as he covered everything I wanted to know in abundance.

Provided to me from Jerry.

Well guys it's here and was packed just like it came from Focal the manufacturer.

Anyway, I didn't pull it up out of the box as to me it's awkward as it's down in that deep box in it's styrofoam.
And guys at 78-years old it's heavy to me to try to lift it up so I decided to simply pass for now.
I'll let my Much-much younger and stronger Technician (Jason) Unbox it when he comes to do the install.

Anyway, here are some pictures of it arriving and thankfully it arrived via UPS and my buddy delivering it.
He said where you want it as it's awkward to lift and handle.
The same UPS guy in the prior post above ^^^ that lifted those Classe' 95-Plus Lbs. Amps and brought them up to the H/T (Home Theater) for me.

He sat it in the formal living-room for me and there it will remain until Jason arrives.

https://hosting.photobucket.com/imag...080&fit=bounds

I pushed it over to the side and there is where it will remain until Jason comes to do the install.

Now, all that needs to take place is for Charles and Jason to work me into their every Super-Busy Schedule.

Terry, glad to hear about the alternative Sopra solution. Great relationships are hard to come by! Won't be long before Jason gets the center up and running.

Always great to have a UPS buddy. My UPS guy takes care of deliveries...no throwing and hides packages in our backyard when he knows we're not home.

By the way, that Hellcat screams American ICE in all its glory.

audiogear,

Yes the Focal Sopra I'm thinking will be installed this coming week by Jason.
I had a call from Charles (Owner) this week and he said Jason said he was Totally-SLAMMED all last week.

Charles said I think Jason will be in contact with you next week to drop by and do the install.

Seems both of us have great UPS delivery guys and for that we both are IMO lucky.

Speaking of that Challenger Hellcat it was the true American Muscle Car no doubt.
The reason I traded it was because it had huge Blind-Spots when looking out to the rear on both sides.
You could easily hide a full-size pickup truck in the blind-spots.
And with the traffic we have that to me was always a Very-very Uncomfortable feeling while driving it.
Performance wise it was a hoot !!!

I do miss my center-channel-speaker and looking forward to once again having one again and especially the Focal Sopra as the reviews I have read it was rated very-high.

Attention:
I wish to give a Big-Thanks to woofer for his (Down-to-Earth) information and Support !!!

Also, before I forget again, {Major} thanks to Mike Garrett for assisting Jason (My Tech) yesterday with the Lumagen Firmware.

I had an unexpected visitor this morning and it was Jason (Senior-Technician) for https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...080&fit=bounds

As it turned-out Jason was able to move around one of his other early appointments and therefore made me his 1st stop for the day. https://www.audioaficionado.org/data...ABAAEAAAIBRAA7

That means I now have the Lumagen Radiance Pro Model 4242 with New Firmware Up-Date !!!

As many of you over on the Lumagen "Dedicated" thread have said it's a very simple, fast operation for those that know how to do it.

Anyway, as always I did take some pictures to share with those that follow this thread.

Also, I have watched 4K HDR content yesterday afternoon after Jason departed.

What I will say and share in that ^^^ regards is ....................
There is instantly a noticeable improvement in shadows and to my eyes the HDR images are Brighter.
Also as always running the Lumagen the Detail is DEFINITELY always there.
I'm looking forward to now watching the HDR Movies I have been acquiring for months.
I didn't watch them as I was waiting to get the newer Firmware loaded.

So, I'll try to keep in mind to come back here and further elaborate once I get to watch a lot more of my HDR (Hard-Disc) as well as Streaming HDR content.

I will Post this Link over on the Lumagen Dedicated Thread for those that might be interested in what I have just done.
(I would simply, Copy & Paste this post over on the Lumagen Thread but that's FROWNED on doing Duplicate Post)

Here's the pictures I took that will I think give you the general idea on what took place.
