Why does Burmester have Pin 2 negative ....
 
on their equipment? Would that pose a problem if you use their preamp with another manufacturers amp? Could you reverse the speaker cables to compensate (reverse polarity) ?

That's what I do....

No prob at all. And if you get the 089, I think it gives you the option to switch it. You should be able to download the manual.

I use my older 011 with the MC 1.2kw's and do just that. Works fine.
