I heard today at certain dealers that are closing, you can get 50% off MSRP on their remaining cars.

I wonder if that includes Challengers?

This may be fun, but a lot of folks are going to lose their jobs, and a lot of dealers are going to lose their life's works. What if the brand were McIntosh? Just a thought!
Regards,
Jim

Jim.......Don't think we don't understand the gravity of the situation. It is not just the auto industry, it is serious across many economic lines nationwide. Millions of lives are impacted, not just auto manufacturers, auto dealers, and the UAW.

Jim - I own an appliance store, in Phoenix. I understand believe me.

My neighbor across the street just got foreclosed on. Another one down the street had the movers out in front of their house today.

Not good.

Most of the dealers that are closing are small and poor performing. The chances of them having any Challengers that they are stuck with is pretty slim. These cars sell quickly especially the SRT and V8 models. With no cars in production they may comand a premium. Now if you wanted a mini van or leftover pickup or something...

I guess that makes sense. Oh well.

Challengers and Vipers will get bought up quickly by other dealers if the store being closed had any at all.

I would love a good deal like 50% off but alas i'm laid off so i can't do crap.

It is sad. Just to add my two cents, it's a world wide thing. Latin America is going thru a very tough time also. Argentina the other day had an all out looting rampage. People went all out to the streets and forced their ways to the stores and started taking everything. Tough times. Here in the Dominican Republic the economy is taking a big hit also. So yea it's pretty sad. Sometimes I feel like the whole world is about to collapse.

I just saw a newscaster asking folks gathering on the national mall for the inauguration whether they were better off than 4 years ago. He probably should have asked if they were better off than 20 years ago :)

All wheel drive is a must, where it ices and snows.

Frankly, that's where the money of America is..

Both of our cars are AWD. Add dedicated snow tires and almost nothing can stop you.

Boy I miss the U.P....
