Still-One was kind enough to pass this article on to me:The Absolute Sound: GRAND ULTIMATE review by Anthony H. Cordesman - May/June issue 213

Venture speakers do not get too much ink, but they are simply breath taking to hear and see. The article is about the $90K Grand Ulitmates, but Venture has many speakers that are not so expensive. Case in point my $30K CR-8 Signatures are every bit 90% of the Grand Ultimates, with 2x8" instead of 4x7" drivers. If you get the chance, take a listen and be prepared to step onto a whole other level.

If you get he chance to hear or even read about on their website, Venture has some truly awesome sounding and strikingly beautiful speakers in the $30K-$65K range also.

Thank-you for that very insightful, yet poetic post. You do know that a "tweeter" is not a "tweety-bird"? :confused-5:

I have 3/4" titanium dome tweeters in my XRT2K's x 40 of them. :)

I have to respectfully disagree. Have you actually heard a Venture speaker with the new 2” VENTURE Abaca Graphite Pulp composite dynamic tweeter? If you have, please elaborate, and if not, then shame on you.

Thanks Wizard. And a big thanks to Face, who PM'd me with his thouhts on 2" tweeters. I might not agree, but I appreciate the explanation. Venture speakers are truely magical. They have few dealers and even less marketing, but they deserve a listen to. I wish TAS would have just added a review on a less expensive Venture model, rather than stating Venture speakers are only for those who can afford to spend $100K on "just" speakers. I have the $30K CR-8 Signatures, and they literally give me a 10 on the goosebump meter. As an example, on the opening song, "Po Lazarus, from the songtrack "Brother Where Art Thee", the noise from the chain gang picking away is breathtaking.
