I just had a lucky catch and got a vintage Transcriptors Hydraulic Reference turntable in good condition with all pieces in place including the Hydraulic uni-pivot arm for practically nothing.
Replaced the belt with a new one, added the silicon fluid cleaned all parts and added an Acrilic top platter. Fitted and Clearaudio Aurum Beta cartridge and it now makes beutiful music and a great piece of eye candy

As a remineder, this is the deck seen in the Mechanical Orange movie...

I am attaching some pictures for your enjoyment, the qulity is not very high as it was taken with my mobile phone.

Let me know what you think.

Its from the 1960's. Does not sound as good as the Thorens but still sounds very good. Has more rumble than the Thorens.

Do you mean the movie Clockwork Orange...?

A Clockwork Orange (1971) - IMDb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066921/)

That table was taken over in it's manufacture by JA Michell before they started making their own TTs.

True, it was the inspiration for Michell's GyroDeck turntable.
