I ran across the Auto Desk System record cleaning machine while searching today. This German manufactured 12" vinyl cleaning system is fully automated, taking five minutes per record. This is a record cleaning machine that would interest me over many others that I have seen.

I believe Howie pulled the trigger on one...you may want to reach out to him to see how well it works.

Cyril.......Howie will see this thread, and fill us in if he has this unit. I really like the full auto approach. Place the LP in the slot, press one button, and five minutes later the process is complete. You don't have to baby-sit the operation. I like everyhting accept the entry fee, $3495.00.

If we get a few takers, I'll pick up the line and pass along some hefty savings.

I'll get one too if Howie endorses it.

Can't view them.

Also, personally, I worry about a record cleaning system that uses sonication. I worry about groove damage from cavitation cause the by the ultrasonication. This cavitation releases tremendous amounts of heat and I worry what it will do to vinyl. You should see what it does to steel propellers on boats.

They were viewable for a while, I'll fix them later.

Yes I have been using one for a few months now. It is excellent. My previous machine was a VPI 16.5 and whilst it also cleaned very nicely there were two major drawbacks.

Firstly it only cleaned one side at a time which meant it was slow and made the other a little dusty when you flipped it over.

Secondly it was very noisy.

IMHO, a cleaning machine which requires so much effort as to make you not use it often is rather self-defeating.

The Audio Desk Systeme cleaning machine is small and compact, cleans both sides simultaneously and requires no hands on approach at all. Plonk in the LP press the button and hey presto go and do something else. The cleaning is as good as a normal cleaner but much more convenient. Best of all you don't need to stand there brushing the record. It also doesn't overheat like the VPI would. You can clean 20/30 records in a row and it doesn't mind.

All in all a great cleaner, quieter than a 16.5, good looking and easy to use.

Highly recommended.

Thanks Howie...

Whats not to like about al of that???

I really wish that I could drop the coin on a machine like this.

I HATE cleaning records... ESPECIALLY now that I have using a two step cleaning fluid. TAKES MORE THAN TWICE AS LONG.... AGH!!!

Same here, I agree it is a pain. I use the disc doctor record cleaner and then I use distilled water as the rinse. I have a vpi 16.5 record cleaner. It is well worth it however.
