For fun an after market tuned 997 to about 650HP. I could have a pair of superchargers instaled in my M5 that can make it 750+ HP but it gets undriveable any more power than that. Of coarse you have your Bugatti's and Mclaren's and Saleen's that you cant drive anywhere because of clearance.

The gull wing doors do not make up for the overall poor design IMHO.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it looks awful.

A friend of mine just got one in that same color.

Nice enough car, but it's not my thing...

They had one at the local dealer, it looked ok.

For $200k there are many other options, IMO.

(I'd take silver/red however:))

I love the retro remake look. I would install a McIntosh stereo system too. :)

The only "retro" design I see in this car is the fact that it has gull-wing doors.... The original 300SL Gullwing was a beauty... But hey, it's your money! :D

The original SL is a fantastic investment, IMO,

I'll speculate, but I just don't see how you can ever lose money with purchasing an original one, semi-restored or not.

Someone, somewhere, will pay top dollar years from now.

They already bring over $500k...
