The two Harmonix vinyl/turntable accessories arrived at 8.30 pm.

It was placed on the my TT and the dealer done a "re-setup" of the Triplanar arm to accommodate the Harmonix mat.

So, are the two accessories worth their salt? Well, its not like day and night difference but certainly, musical presentation took on a more "solidify" focus, especially on the bass and mids, more so, when the side firing woofers of the DSP8000 are "aiming" at the TT. Because of this, I have to make a switch of the TT from current right to left of the cabinet so that the tonearm is further away from the woofers "effect".

The dealer sure know how to bring out the difference of the accessories (with and without) using his "test" vinyl, the Hugh Masekela "HOPE" 2 piece LPs. With the volume of the 808i.3 pushing the DSP8000 at "70" volume setting.

I will be going for a 4 hour listening session right after this on my TT and hopefully, it will sound as good, if not better than the Sooloos, which up till now can only but amaze me. Even the "die hard" Vinyl/Tube dealer is moved by the Sooloos performance - and for once, he mentioned the overall Meridian system do sound good.

Cheers!

Jerry.......Very nice. I agree with the move to the other side of the granite top to get the tonearm farther from the side firing woofers. Now, the only left is the new phono preamp delivery.

Hi Jerry, I heard one of these in Sing compared to an HRS. This sounded more natural. The only thing better was the mega expensive Hamrmonix weight.

the Furatech Monza is very good as well, works for me

Doesn't your table come with the equivalent of the Quadro clamp? That one works very well too. All the Clearaudio accessories are very good.

I bought the Statement pictured above. I will have my table mid-week.

Yup, I agree on the cost - as the HRS costs only like a 3rd of the Harmonix. And I was supposed to be having both these things at a bargain of S$1.3k where the Harmonix clamp is already quoted at S$1.1k.

Since I am "wet" all thru at the TT combo, just that $1.3k wont hurt me more than an extra nagging. :D

I have not seen Furutech stuff here, but thru Howie, I learnt they are fantastically build too! Lucky me for this, cause I may end up having Furutech stuff all the way, from cables to clamps and ... Oh, I dread what these NICE things can do to my already very fickle and hifi corrupted desires!

Cheers!
