Based on that experiment, I would have to agree.

Cute, but listen to the Fleet Foxes album, or pretty much any of the recent non-audiophile releases. It's always a toss up, depending on the mastering...

I like both.

I don't know, upon my first listening to both the Sun Giant EP and the S/T, I thought vinyl did the album more justice.. Seeing as how these guys are a total throwback to the days of analog, I wouldn't be surprised if it was done totally analog - SubPop seems like a lable that would be cool with that... The LP on vinyl just sounds so much more detailed. That said, I would be perfectly content to listen on CD any day as their songs are magical:yes:.

Speaking of mastering and "audiophile re-mastering" These new "Audiophile" re-releases sound worse than the originals. Just heads up for what some us already knew!

But I personally prefer vinyl... for my sit down listening & when I'm relaxing, cd's for party & cleaning the house.

I'm 50/50 sit down and Sooloos for everything else...
5000 CD's on tap you can't go wrong!
