I'd like to attend, but that depends on the entrance fee. I've seen various packages that cost from $200-1400! I just want to walk around and look at cool stuff...surely that would not cost anywhere near that much! Can someone enlighten me? Thanks.

Edit: I can't fix the title--all 3 letters need to be capitalized--is there some reason that I can't fix it? (It looks fine when I fix it in the Edit mode, but it doesn't change when I re-submit.)

Last I read the vendors too are getting very unhappy with the crazy fees they have to pay. It is like $75k and up for most. Paul said in a post from PS Audio it is most likely better to invest that money in development rather than a show.

I think less and less of CES too, I used to love it, but the rip off factor gouging is a lot :(

Apparently, it isn't actually for consumers...it's for industry people. Since that's the case, they ought to rename it the IES!

CES has always been a trade show. We go to do business with our dealer and distributor customers, not to worry about best sound at the show. CES is expensive but the ability to do business has typically made it a good investment. Consumers infiltrating has greatly weakened the value of the show for 20+ years.

I would love to meet end users at RMAF, Newport, Axpona, Munich and more. Vegas? Not so much.

There are many consumer options. CES is not supposed to be one of them.
