So, one of the other local audiophiles (Fritz) has lent me his pair of BW PM1. It sounds pretty good and probably has convinced me to get a pair at some point.

I have other plans right now but I would say that these speakers are pretty good. :music:

I was really impressed by the PM1's when I started my upgrade a couple years ago, but I ended up with 805 Diamonds instead. According to my local B&W dealer, the PM1 is being discontinued. B&W originally planned to expand the line beyond the PM1, but my dealer speculated that the updated CM line led them to reevaluate the line.

You might be able to get a deal on a pair when they officially announce, but on the other hand it might be hard to find a pair if you wait too long (of course, you could always buy used).

How would you compare PM1 and 805 sonically? Which one is more neutral? Does PM1 show any midrange coloration in your opinion?
