After attending RMAF two weeks ago, I can answer my own question. I didn't listen to the Perspectives, but I did hear the Pearls. I thought the Pearls were good, but not good enough to give up my 7ts. Maybe, just maybe I need to stay with the 7ts. I thought I could find something under 20K that would be significantly better than the 7ts., but maybe not. Any thoughts or recommendations to audition? My friend keeps saying, Dynaudio C4s, slightly above my budget, but I haven't found anywhere to hear them.

Sabrina's should beat 7ts for under 20k.

No, heard them. I had several Wilsons prior to the 7ts and I prefer the 7ts. To my ears Wilson's are not a good value. "To my ears" is the key phrase.

I gotta say after listening to some 7T's for the third time I can't imagine anything under 20K beating them.

Forte 4A,

Thanks for the recommendation. My system consist of the Jeff Rowland Continuum S2 integrated amp, Jeff Rowland Aeris DAC, Bryston BDP2, Dual SVS SB13 Ultra subs, WW Silver speaker cable, digital cables WW Platinum, Power Cords WW Silver, All cables are WW series 7. My room is 20' x 26' and is treated with GIK Acoustics.

The only thing I'm willing to change are my speakers. Not because I'm unhappy with them, but because I'm curios. I love the Jeff Rowland for the sound, looks, and the fact the the S2 operates in Class D. I leave all of my equipment on 24/7, unless I don't plan on listening for a couple of days and I switch everything to standby.

Michael,

I've listen to several speakers and I'm finding it difficult to find a speaker under 20K that is significantly better than the 7Ts. I really love my 7Ts, but I'm curious to see what it takes to go to the next level. If I don't find anything, I'll start tweaking my system...stillpoints and power conditioner?

If you were considering the C4's bring as much current to the table as possible.
They need a lot of power to make them come alive-like big Bryston mono blocks for example.

Thanks, that's good to know. Sometimes when I start looking at different options, I realize it may be best to keep what I have.

I used to have the 7Ts in my stereo, but now they are the fronts for my HT/surround system.

I would highly encourage the tweaks. I consider power, cables, and vibration control the foundation upon which to build a stereo. Get a solid foundation, and any future gear will work at its best right from the start.

I'm curious as to why tweaks over new speakers?

Well, I'm lucky I received an incredible deal that finally made me sell my Aerial 7Ts. I should have a pair of Raidho C 3.1s by the end of the month.

Congrats on the Raidho speakers, they should be quite an upgrade (not to take anything away from your Aerials.) I've heard that the Raidho speakers can be quite revealing and demanding of the partnering electronics, hopefully yours will prove to be up to the task.

I'm getting the Raidho speakers from a friend. I've already heard them at his house with a JR 525 amp and it was very good. The good news is I can bring my amp to his house and listen prior to bringing them home.

Sounds like a perfect opportunity without incurring any risk, and I wish you all the best with what should be a very significant upgrade!

went to his house this weekend and listened to the Raidho C 3.1s for a couple of hours. Yes, they did some things better than the Aerial 7ts, but overall I concluded that they weren't worth the additional cost and I'm keeping my 7Ts. I decided to replace my Jeff Rowland Continuum S2 Integrated amp with the Jeff Rowland 625 mk2 amp and ordered Stillpoints for the 7Ts.

Bud,

I would appreciate a PM on your thoughts comparing Aerial 7ts to Magico S5?
