You can find the crossover schematics in the service manuals:
B&W Group North America Service & Support - Service Manuals (http://bwgroupsupport.com/manuals/bw-service#ID_800SeriesDiamond)

I've seen that. But I don't know how to tell if the crossover for the LF and midrange are first order... The hf crossover is 1st order for sure.

Why does it matter if the crossover is first order or not?

Just want to know.

I'm not sure.

If you really need to know there are 2 options which worked for me for other items.

1. call US B&W customer service on the east coast and ask them.

2. get the phone number from B&W east coast customer service and ask for the factory phone number in England. Little bit of a time difference but you can make it work.

I just asked my dealer - he's figuring it out.

Do you have the specs on the crossover?

If it is a 6dB/octave slope, it is first order.

I know HF Xover is 1st. Not sure about the rest.

It should be first order based on the layout..

Take a look at the B&W 800 Diamond brochure on B&W's website:

"...we’ve been able to make the speaker’s first-order crossover one of the simplest – and best – we’ve ever produced."

is this just for the 800 or 802 as well?

Both, but crossovers are different still.

I've seen that. But I don't know how to tell if the crossover for the LF and midrange are first order... The hf crossover is 1st order for sure.

The tweeter crossover is actually first order electrical but is intended as a 2nd order Linkwitz-Riley. (the acoustic roll-off adds 5dB over the first octave).

However, it would have been optimum if the BW engineers had corrected the (coil f0) impedance bump at 800Hz, which corrupts the electrical roll-off through the second octave. The tweeter is only 13db at 800Hz, which is >10dB higher than it should be, which compromises the mid and treble performance somewhat.
