Hello all!

I am considering a pair of MBL 116F speakers. Anyone have any experience with these speakers (or other MBL's) powered by McIntosh amps. I have MC501's which should be plenty of power/current for them.

I also have a single JL f113 sub. Not sure how this will sound with the MBL's. I know the MBL's have pretty good bass, so I would just be adding a bit more down low.

Any feedback on these questions and MBL experience is much appreciated.

Thanks!

I powered my MBL 111e's with 501's and 1.2k's. I powered my 111F's with 1.2k's and Momentum mono blocks. The 1.2ks did a pretty good job.

I have seen just about all of the MBL line of speakers and equipment at many of the audiophile shows that I attend. I do like the sound of the MBL speakers but you have to be prepared for their radial or circular sound. The NY Audio show is coming up at the end of September. MBL is always present at this show. Perhaps you should come down to their room at the show and give a listen. I also like Kharma Loudspeakers from Holland.
