Hi Guys. I am thinking of going down this route, mainly so I can situate my power amp between my speakers.
As we know the GAT has a very low output impedance so an IC of say 5 or 6m shoudl be fine but that amount of Cardas Golden ref is going to be very expensive I imagine ! has anyone got any better more cost effective ideas ?

How about Zu's interconnect?
They make nice cables and the price is acceptable now days.
For IC, if you can find their old flagship the "Varial" would be a very good choice, even better than their new products.

I have been using 6m ic's between my cj pre and power amps for a long time and they work a treat.
It was no issue for the prem16, ART and certainly not the GAT. I even remember experimenting with the difference between 6m and 1m when I had the prem16. There was no difference.
BTW, for a cost effective alternative
if interested I have a 6m Acoustic Zen Silver reference II available after I changed to Nordost Tyr. Very smooth cable and fuller than the Nordost.

Sure, I think you need to subscribe to be able to pm each other.
The cable is available, 6m and 1m - seperate or together.
Not sure if you are allowed to leave your email in posts, or even want to for everyone to see :-)
cheers

I just use inexpensive coax such as the Belden type sold by Blue Jeans as LC-1 for audio. There is no audible difference apart from the mains frequency hum rejection that such well engineered double-braided coax provides. If I were using Cardas golden ratio nonsense, silver this or platinum that then I would be extremely embarrased - not proud.
