How do these amps compare to one another in sound, the amount of time to warm up, heat generated and overall maintenance?

On paper and based on the price tag, the LP140 should be the better of the two, but how much better in performance and sound? Or is it just different?

The et250 will obviously generate less heat and will be cheaper to maintain as it only requires replacing two small signal tubes one every 3-5 years. It will also easily drive almost any reasonable speaker.
LP140 larger soundstage and a more holographic presentation. It will have the tube magic in the midrange and likely give a better you are there feeling.

Thanks Ronenash. I have read the Pr 350 vs LP275m thread and the ET250s: A Sleeper? thread several time. Is it safe to assume the ET250s vs LP140m comparison would follow the same comments already made on the Premier 350 vs LP275m's thread?

I think so. Both are excellent amps IMHO.

I have not heard either amps but I am sure both are outstanding. In fact, I have never heard a C-J amp, there are no dealers in my area.

I am looking for my 1st C-J amp to go along with my ET5 preamp. I have been leaning towards purchasing a refurbished ET250s from Spearit Sound, but the enthusiasm shown here on AA by all of the C-J tube amp owners has me wondering if I should consider an all tube amp.

There have been several used LP140m amps listed for sale in the same price range as a refurbished ET250s. Based on the initial purchase price, a used LP140m is tempting. However, after factoring the cost of tubes, sending the amps to C-J to be checked out, the price jumps up.
