Am I the only one who actually gets up out of my seat and checks to make sure there is no sound coming out of my center speaker, when I know it's a stereo cd?
Sometimes, the imaging is so mind blowing that you would swear the center speaker is outputting music.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, each time expecting a different result. :D

i have checked before. Your not alone.:hypnotize:
What is even better is listening to 2 channel only and having sound effects where your surround speakers usually are. That is a mind blowing experience. :D

That question was never asked. You just imagined it. :-)

I do it too. It just means our 2 channel system is so good that it tricks our mind into thinking there's sound from the center channel. :)
I've had friends do it in my HT/2 channel rig.

I just gave my nephew my Yamaha CR 2020 and a new pair of Pioneer FS51's. He's just bonkers over it as is my brother.
But the response I wasn't expecting was from his mother (who is a disinterested party on a good day). She called and described a soundstage full of detail and depth that made her sound like a giddy reviewer... She got it, and she wasnt even looking for it.

...and visitors don't believe me either when they think the surrounds & sub are outputting too! Good room treatment does amazing things to your system.
