Based on my limited experience with my little CA200 and other CJ gear I want them to make an updated Premier 350. I would give them a deposit and keep my fingers crossed. Can we start a list/petition and let them see it.

I'm in.

For the petition, at least.

Joe, here is your statement.

cj have enough parts to make several pairs. I asked Lew a few years back.

From memory they never released this due to the high cost at the time - I guess they never received enough orders at the CES in 2003 from their distributors. :sigh:

conrad-johnson GAT Amplifier ($38,000) is the company's first venture into 300B tube amplification. This is the only 300B amplifier that outputs 1,000 watts (not a typo). A low ratio transformer is coupled to a push-pull buffer. This keeps the voltage gain characteristics of a 300B but the current gain of the output buffer stage. :music:

Personally I would luv a pair of these monoblocks - go superb with the GAT pre amp.

perhaps we should ask, how much to build two sets to get rid of their inventory?

Wow! Look at that thing, beautiful. I guess the closest amp we will get will be an ET250S, huh.

Man, C-J did some wild sh*t I wasn't even aware of...guess they are always thinking of various designs.

I think Joe wants a SS amp, though.

i wouldn't mind a Premier 180 SS amp, personally. With my 4 ohm speakers, that would give me 360 Wpc.

I'd take that too, in a heartbeat. I don't need a lot of power. I just want the premium parts, teflon caps, etc.

And that C-J magic most of all!

I think that goes without saying.

Well, I'd be in for the amp, but I can't really afford a $15K amp...would that I could.

Just tell them you want one so they will make it. Ha!

It is a SS amp with a 300B somewhere in the circuit. 1000 watts per channel:smoking:

I'll start saving now. My CA200 is sounding better every day !

Shane...1,000 wpc into what load? That could mean 125wpc into 8ohms and if it doubled down into 4,2 and 1ohms, then it would be 1,000wpc into 1ohm. The amp does not look big enough to deliver 1,000 wpc into 8 ohms. I am not an amplifier designer obviously, but every monster amp that can deliver 1Kwpc into 8ohms that I have seen has been a pretty hefty bugger :D Also, it would be interesting to know how the 300B tube is integrated into the circuit as it is obviously normally used as an output tube but they must clearly be using it in the input stage in this design. Just curious...

Thx

Not sure Cyril

This was a cut and paste fom the 2003 CES. At a guess I would say it was 1000 watts into 4 ohms.

Gents, I'm yours...to put at least a tube inside....
I have just received two Mullard NOS CV2492 of 1971....can't wait the next listening session....

I take an option on the monoblock version :smoking:
