Does Wireworld make a mini-to-optical Toslink or mini-to-digital cable?

Or just buy a normal toslink cable and an adaptor. Then you can use it for normal toslink ports as well should the need arise.

I would stay away from using the minijack headphone outlet and use a USB-S/PDIF or Firewire-S/PDIF converter. I made a few suggestions and attached some reviews. Hope this gives you a few other ideas.

Pyro...My pleasure. Just in the way of explaining the recommendation, i think the general consensus among reviewers and commentary on various audio forums, the hierarchy of superior sound from the various options of connecting computers or music-servers to a DACs is:

1) S/PDIF and/or Firewire
2) Asynchronous USB
3) Adaptive USB
4) Toslink

I would be interested to hear from other AA'ers if they agree or disagree with this. Let us know how you make out Pyro. Thx

Ahhh You forgot the fifth choice! (2) tin cans cyro treated and a string! The string should be wounded counter clock-wise.
