You might want to check out the cables that UHF Magazines promotes and that they use with their reference systems. I've read a few of their articles in relation to cabling and find that they offer some pretty good advice and will only recommend items they've done tests on.

One thing I have found is that it probably makes good sense to use cabling from the same company and at the same quality level throughout; speakers, interconnects etc.

I echo Master Lu, lose the Monster Cable.

Hi Jeff! I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I've had good results with WW. All of my wires except the subs and speakers are WW. I've the Eclipse 5.2 on the speakers with matching jumpers. I did this for a reason. Hopefully, my next speakers are either the CLX or the wished for mini-CLX which have only one set of binding posts but I digress.

The WW gave a different presentation than the Mapleshades Golden Double Helix I was using. I REALLY liked the mids with this wire but I thought the highs were too soft. I lost a bit in the mids which at first was disappointing. But after giving them a fair shake, the WW's were much cleaner, balanced and accurate across the board.

A trial run with them would be the best course in my opinion. Your gear can handle the higher grade wire if your wallet can. I'm sure our dealer could arrange something!

Those are Aweome Speaker Cables. Are you using WW silver eclipse for interconnects as well?

Well, I squeezed and contorted my arse behind my stand and got the new speaker wires installed yesterday. I had my 8yo helping me. Fortunately, Dad didn't utter any curse words this time.

What's such a PITA is there's hardly any room behind my stand and speakers to grant me access to my components and speakers. I had to move my Fathoms, no easy task, and then twist myself back there. And of course the cable itself isn't that cooperative. The banana plugs going into the amps was nice though. Before I had spades on both ends of the cable and it was a struggle securing them into the amps. Yeah, yeah, want some cheese with that whine?

I'm looking forward to firing up the HT tonight and giving these bad boys a work out. I should have 'em burned-in in no time at all.

I'm getting into the show Fringe. I've been renting the first season from Netflix. I'm currently on disc 4. I always watch this show at the exact same volume. After installing the Silver Eclipse, there was a noticeable dynamic improvement! I consider myself to be rather skeptical when cables are concerned. Was it all in my mind or reality...?

About 2am last night/early morning, I had the hankering for some 80's hair metal. So I fired up the MCD500 and cranked Motley Crue. It was awesome. I kept turning the volume up. So far, I'm impressed.

I want to give a big shout-out to Ivan! You rock!!
