I see alot of people here using Silver Eclipse, is the same sweetness obtained with the regular eclipse 6 speaker biwire cable? I think its one step down in the eclipse hierarchy..

Silver Ecl = silver over copper, Eclipse is pure copper.

Would be interesting do to an A/B comparison - I usually don't like any Silver in an analogue route - until I had the Silver Ecl XLR's...

When I asked my dealer (pretty experienced one, been dealing hifi since the 70ths), what type of speakercable I should consider when using with my mc gear, (since there is so many of them. For example Nordost with their pure silver, van den hul with carbonfiber? etc etc) And he strongly simply said copper. Copper with a "wide cut" straightly translated from Swedish. He explained that different gear has different "nods" in the sound and that copper counter that nod just at the right spot when it comes to mcintosh. While silver on the other hand counter nods on other gear who has one on another spot.

This is somewhat what I got explained to me, and I dont know for real if its true but it sounds kinda logic. Thats why I'm interested in eclipse pure copper.

I also think it is possible to fine tune the sound with perhaps add a silver cable anywhere in the signal path, to "bump up" the nod just a little. If thats something I find sound good.

What you guys think about this yada yada? Remember that I'm pretty new at this, and only know what I read and hear from everywhere :P
