I wasn't able to do a fair a/b comparison with this cable since my main connection to my theater projectors is accomplished via cat6 cables, not HDMI; and over 45' long!

But, I was able to try the cable in a less critical application. On my 60" Kuro plasma, the platinum starlight proves itself as the ultimate HDMI cable. Since the silver starlight is no slouch, I was surprised to see even the slight improvement that I did.

The easiest way to describe it is that my display looks like it just got a full calibration. Convergence & color is a pinch more detailed, enough for me to leave the cable in my rig

In long lengths the platinum starlight quickly becomes impractical, but for a short run, such as mine (1.5M) it becomes permanent.

Forgive my ignorance here....how is the cat 6 connection described setup? I currently have a 30' overall run to my projector (Pioneer Pro-FPJ1) using HDMI. Would your setup better my picture quality, or do you use this only because of the overall length of your particular run?

I have a 30 foot HDMI cable going from my MX120 to my projector. I have a 30 foot component cable also from the MX120 to the projector so I can use the on screen programming feature. My HDMI cables going from my cable box, blu ray and xbox to the MX120 are all 1- 1 .5 meters; I would'nt mind upgrading these.

Yep, you just use the CAT6 to connect in between the HDMI cable length barrier.

I would still leave HDMI to 1M on each end, and run longer CAT6 in between the lumagens - even the best CAT6 is dirt cheap compared to a quality HDMI cable (at any length).
