So what's the difference between Wireworld's 5.2 & 6.0 line? equinox vs. equinox / eclipse vs. eclipse, etc. Just curious what the advancements or changes are. I noticed the 5.2 line is selling at min. 50% less than the 6.0 line. Is it worth the extra money to buy 6.0 series? I have been looking into the silver series speaker cable.

crytklmass.......I auditioned the Wireworld Silver Eclipse 5.2 balanced interconnects. I had them between my MCD500 and the C2300 preamp, and between the C2300 and the MC501 amps. They replaced Tributaries Silver Series balanced interconnects. I found the 5.2 interconnects to be a bit bright for my taste. I kept them in the system for several days, then switched back to the Tributaries, then back to the Wireworld again. Each time the 5.2 interconnects were in the system I got listener fatigue within an hour. I returned them to the dealer, and went back to my trusty Tributaries. Then Wireworld came out with the 6.0 Silver Eclipse balanced interconnects. I tried them, and found them to be superior to the Tributaries, and much smoother over long periods of listening than the Wireworld 5.2 series. I kept the Wireworld Silver Eclipse 6.0 balanced interconnects, and ordered two more 2 meter pairs for my McIntosh system in the studio. I have been using the Wireworld 6.0 Silver Eclipse balanced interconnects for over six months now, and I am very pleased with their sound. I highly recommend them.

Not being a metallurgist, or a geometric design electrical engineer, I cannot tell you what Wireworld did to make the 6.0 series of Silver Eclipse cables better, but to my ears there was a big difference between the 5.2 and 6.0 balanced interconnects. The 6.0 cables are super detailed, yet smooth and balanced from the lowest frequencies to the highest.

Hasn't wireworld mentioned that they are starting to use some type of carbon fusion, or something like that in their interconnects ? Is this technology in all the 6.0 series or its it just in the platinum ?

They are using carbon fiber housings on all termination ends of their platinum series.

As you can read in the thread (Dam-It you Guys were right, in the cable section) I am quite pleased by the improvement made with the WW Electra 5.2's and Silver Electra Power Cables. My question is ! I am running Van Den Hul Interconnects is there that much difference in the Wireworld 6.0 series interconnects and other interconnects ?
I will be looking at the Eclipse series . You Guys/Gals that have switched to WW interconnects from something else, what did they do that was better and less than your last favorite interconnects. I am currently using VDH First Ultimate MK II, the reason I like them is much the same as what the WW Power cables did, in that they just knock out more of the electronic sound you hear in most cables. ( No Hash). I just don't like Long SS'S, screaches or that general electronic sound you get with most interconnects. Just smooth inky black MUSIC. Female Voices are extremely critical.
