My Air Tight ATM1 (35W from EL34/6CA7) is perfectly able to drive my Sophia in a 35 meter sq room. However, the control provided by my other amps (CELLO monoblock Encore 150) is not comparable. A better match, for sure.

With tubes, I like also VTL (I think Wilson use one of their flagship amp in the test room). Does VTL have an integrated too?

Otherwise, I've heard an integrated from PLINIUS + AYRE DAC doing extremely good on Sophia 2 (in the Hong Kong main Wilson distributor).

Cellindo,

Thanks... Yes I think that EL 34 would be the tube of choice for me...

A VTL stereo tube amp and a Shindo pre would be nice....

Thanks for the input all...

Keep em coming...

Hi two dot,

If you decide to go the wilson route, keep the Shindo preamp for sure than buy some VTL (st150 minimum) That's a very, very good match. I have a Monbrisson and looking to get a vtl amplifier with my sophia 2.

Regards

Have you considered Naim Audio? Supernait or perhaps or one of the new Uniti models would be worth an audition if you want to stick to an integrated.

This amp is amazing... I heard this after about 80K$ in NAIM reference gear, and it created it's own magic.

Stephen.......Nagra is not far from introducing a brand new integrated amplifier. No doubt it will be a show stopper.

Dan,

I just read that this am... I am very interested in NAGRA products.

If they stay with a small chassis design, this could be right up my alley.

Thanks,
