Default Which Silver color is the most popular?

Hi dear WILSON Aficionados,

Between TITANIUM silver, MERCEDES silver and DESERT silver which silver color is the most popular/appreciated?

In Hong-Kong I saw some months ago a darker silver color (custom order from the Wilson color palette, not a client color). I mean a bit darker than Titanium, but I just can't recall the name of this dark grey color that was really cool :jump3:

Regarding the Desert silver, isn't it a bit Beige indeed under strong light? I don't mind to see so more pictures than what can be found here & there.

Here are Wilson Audio's "standard colors":

http://wilsonaudio.com/company_html/ae_wilsongloss.html

There are several silvers that Wilson has had over the years:

Mercades Silver (which is still one of their standard colors)

Dark Titanium (which is still one of their standard colors)

Desert Silver (one of their standard colors, yet looks very similar to an older BMW color they used to have - Cashmere Beige http://images5.ecarlist.com/photos/1...78_023_235.jpg

Light Titanium was close to Mercades Silver (very light silver color)

Grigio Alloy was one Wilson did a lot. Was a lighter Ferrari color that looked Silver with almost a blue tint to it - http://www.motorcars-intl.com/images...0_Spider_1.jpg

Argento Titanio was another one that Wilson used. Was close to Mercades Silver - http://www.bytbil.com/ViewImage.aspx...446&type=main2

Thank you Lildebs888,

My SOPHIA are dark titanium, so I know this color well

You can see here different pics of my speakers (from a sell ad).

The protective films are still on, thus some wrinkles sometimes visible here & there.

I'm certain to have seen a even darker grey on a demod SASHA in the Hong-Kong distributor's showroom. I just can't remember the name of this (custom order) color.

Thanks again.

Color is obviously a matter of personal preference, but I bet WA has records of which colors sell the most.

For me it was an easy choice (with the approval of my wife!). I went for the Dark Titanium, and am glad with how my overall system looks.

Which color of the Sophia3s are these in this picture:
http://www.wilsonaudio.com/product_i...hall_large.jpg

Has anyone also left the protective film on their Wilson speakers for years ? Does it leave a permament mark ?

That is Desert Silver, and yes, leaving the frisk (the protective film) on will leave marks and should never be done. It should be taken off as soon as possible after set-up.
