I certainly don't have the most experience with the Sasha. But I have heard it on a number of occasions now.
The most recent was at my dealer's house. I'd actually gone to visit him to listen to the MAXX3s in his shop. But the room those were in was too small. And they really couldn't flex their low end muscle. What ultimately sold me on the MAXX3s was listening to the Sashas in my dealer's own living room. Incredibly smooth with very deep bass! They were in a decent sized room. I felt they gave me a sense of what the MAXX3s might hold in store in my big room. The Sashas sold me on the MAXX3s.
In a way, they also sold me on the Soph3s. I needed something more for our family room, a system that I listen to a lot. But I also have kids that use that system a LOT too. It's the family room after all. So I wanted simple and more forgiving. And I wanted something about 10 crackers down in price for my kids to bump into and my cats to claw.
Thus far I'm liking the Soph3s more than my friend's Sashas. What a bonus! But I think that may have more to do with my ARC DSi200 vs. his Electrocompaniet integrated. I think the ARC has more balls than the Norwegian integrated. A possible interesting comparison of integrated amps in its own right....
But I know which speaker my dealer likes best. And that's the Sasha. Which in his shop he often pairs with the DSi200. He says two woofers are better than one.
