Default Wilson Audio Channel on YouTube

As you guys already know Wilson is on Facebook and Twitter. Wilson has, and will be continuing, to post new videos on their YouTube channel every week or 2. They just posted up 2 new videos today: "Converstations with Dave parts 5 and 6".

YouTube - wilsonaudiospeakers's Channel

Enjoy watching them, rate them, comment on them, and let Wilson know what other videos you would like to see. I have already gotten some good feedback, and they are already working on a few of them

You could also add a history of W/P - the concept, design considerations, early models, evolution and so on.

I remember reading about that in Audio Adventure or similar publication a while back and found it very interesting.

Very good ideas. I know some of your ideas are already in the works

Thank you for the imput. It's always nice to know what customers want to see! I know of a few that will be coming out soon, so keep your eyes peeled. I know one has something to do with the Sasha

I would also welcome a discussion on advantages and disadvantages of various materials used for building speakers - MDF, plywood, aluminium, materails X, M, S etc.

Derryl once showed me a FFT analysis of various materials, including X and M, and that was enlightening for me in many ways (and highly presuasive).

I know that you already have 'A Brief History of Cabinet Materials at Wilson Audio' but that doesn't really tell much and dasn't show any data, which I belive are essential.

Good point to bring up. I too believe that the video that Wilson brought out recently did hit on the topic of those other materials, however didn't say why one or the other was better or worse then the other. Very good topic to dig further into. Thank you again for your thoughts. I will bring this up with John so that maybe they can elaborate more on the topic. I know on some forums that is a hot topic

I love hearing your feedback! Keep them comin'!!!

I really enjoyed part V. Touches on the age long subject of why two solid state amps can measure the same yet sound so different, the sweetness of Ayre MX-R one of my few favorite combo's with Wilson speakers by the way and the holy grail of finding a speaker that conveys music in a satisfying way to "your" ears akin to finding a treasure...

Part VI shed some light for me on the subject of why I enjoy the Wilson sound so much. "Harmonic expression" and "Dynamic Contrast". Cabinet resonance control and linearity of drivers and crossovers opens up a whole new window of enjoyment of music. I noticed it from day one of Wilson Sophia II ownership only to hear it to an even greater degree with Sasha... Now it's all starting to make sense and why the Wilson speakers are simply fabulous when it comes to music reproduction. :thumbsup

Deb, tell your Dad to keep the videos coming!

I am so glad you like them so much, Serge! I think it is wonderful that Wilson is putting together these videos.

Don't you worry, many more are in the making. We have been shooting for a new video about every 2 weeks so stay tuned

If you have any ideas for videos I would love to hear them.

I know they are starting a new series titled "Authentic Values" to follow the Authentic Excellence series. You can read more about this new series on the Wilson Website.

Man I just love companies that make use of social networking/youtube etc like Wilson and even Mcintosh for that matter, Its really a great experience for customers world wide on a regular basis. Really appreciated!

One suggestion for video would be a tutorial on the WASP setup. Sure, best would be to let a trained professional do the work, but in those cases that might not be possible it would be great! Covering the basics in positioning and toe-in etc.. tips and trix

Thanks!

Would be cool to see Peter McGrath video setup of Wilson speakers in a room and share some of his tips and knowledge! I always enjoy "seeing" Wilsons "playing music" in a video.
