Agreed, the Maxx 3 is a fantastic speaker.

I personally wouldn't go any smaller than 15-16 feet of width. I played with Sasha's in my 14x17 room extensively (I have them setup on a long wall), having them as wide apart as 11ft and and as close at 7ft. While they are pretty amazing at remaining very coherent and not coupling to walls in a bad way, the sound does get better with some width between them, soundstage benefits greatly from some space. The Maxx 3 is a bigger speaker yet...

My quess is, that such a tutorial would be popular not only among Wilson owners - every speaker can benefit from that. That would be a good marketing for Wilson too.

This is a very good idea. I just emailed some of the main guys at Wilson involved with making videos for YouTube about it.

Anyone have other ideas? Our hopes was to put up 1 to 2 videos a month. I want to provide good, useful videos for people. I believe they are putting together a video on the differences between the W/P 8 and the Sasha and hopefully soon a factory tour (those were ideas that I had when I first came up with the idea of YouTube).

I think a video of Wilson Audio giving me a Watch Center Channel (Series 2) as a present (in Piano Black) would be a hit.

Had a wonderful conversation with Peter McGrath of Wilson Audio this afternoon. We talked about Maxx3s and Polaris center. Peter was very helpful in helping me with my questions about my planned theater room/dimensions/acoustic treatments. I had no idea that Wilson offers help with acoustic treatment planning and advice.

The conversation helped me to plan my future project better and put me at ease with my future investment.

Turns out Peter is also a big fan of Lamm gear and runs the same M1.2 Reference monoblocks on his own Maxx 3s.

lYes he is a fantastic guy, and I had the chance to discuss with him as well in Paris, where he demoed Alexandrias and WP8s...and I bought these wonderful speakers. Very helpful and overall a great music lover!

That single tube looks lonely in there, doesnt' it Dan?

The amps are a bit of space heaters, they do get pretty warm after a few hours of play time but man are they musical....

Vladimir had worked out a formula or a recepe if you will and had a dream of building it a long time ago when he was involved with various circuit designs and how people interpret and process sounds but he was not able to realize that dream until certain key ingredients were available to him. I sure am glad he was able to finally build it as it brings me and numerous other Lamm owners immense listening pleasure on a daily basis.

Jean-Marc, have you started saving up for the Maxx 3s? We discussed the older W/P, Sasha and Maxx 3s. I am saving my pennies for the Maxx 3!!!

The purchase will require one big piggy bank....

I drastically increased my satisfaction as I had 15 feet between the 2 WP8s, instead of the 10 feet width I had before. The soundstage is so real like this , wether it be big orchestras or solo singers with only acoustic guitar (Eric BIBB right now...).
