Default Sashas Up and Running!

The dealer (Hi Fi Buys in Nashville) made the three hour trip up to Louisville to deliver my Sashas today. The entire set up experience was very enjoyable and the installation technicians were extremely professional, personable and passionate about getting great sound from my system.

The entire process from uncrating to final tweaking of position took about 3 hours. Then the two guys asked if they could just sit and listen! We had fun pulling out some old albums. They had not heard a good turntable system before.

So it's only been about 4 hours of playing so far but I can already tell that these speakers are special. They have the resolution, transparency and coherence that I loved about my Quads and Logans, but with so much more dynamics, better imaging, better weight and body, and they completely disappear. They are everything I had hoped they would be in my listening room and I'm sure they will only get better with more time on them.

I'll post some pictures once my wife gets back in town with our camera.

System: Sashas, McIntosh MC402, McIntosh C2300, Raven One TT, Graham Phantom II, Dynavector XX2 Mk2, Cardas Golden Reference wires, Adept Response 6. Room is 20 X 36 X 9 dedicated listening room.

Just buy them and make her listen to them. If she hears them set up properly she won't care if it is a trash can. Any how just do what I do, buy and ask for forgiveness...

Default two dot...

Yes, they sell Wilsons, Revels and B&W. When I was there they had the Sashas, WP8, Sophia 2 and Duettes all set up for audition. I think they now even have Max 3 set up in their big listening room.

They also had the Revel Salon 2 and B&W Diamond series. They carry everything from car audio to home theater to high end 2 channel. They are also very aggressive on prices.

Do you live in Nashville? How do you know about the store?

Serge, thanks for your advice. You helped push me over the edge. Uberbrown, they're Aspen Silver. They really look awesome in person. The pictures just don't do them justice.

I got back last night at 10:00P. 225 Lbs for each crate, these are not lightweights! The LX 470 swallowed 'em whole, and thay had a good ride to their new home. My teenage son is still asleep, so no listening impressions yet.
