What a beast of a center channel. My dealer and I were guessing as to the price of it. I'm thinking mid 20k and he is thinking $30k+. I guess I am the optimist and he is a realist.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a pair of used WP8's, Sasha's or whatever to match your system. You could use one put the other away until you wanted to sell them as a pair.

Their height would intrude on the projector screen in the room. The Polaris is low profile for that purpose.

I believe that the Polaris is designed and made to be paired with the Maxx 3 and the Alex II. For the Sasha, the W/Ps, the Sophia, and the Duettes, the Watch II is a perfect match. The Polaris however has (2) 7" midrange drivers, (2) 10" bass drivers, and (1) tweeter, to match the dynamics of the Maxx 3 and the Alex II. In other words, The Polaris should be a superior center than a W/P if mated with a MAXX 3 or Alex II, and as Serge said, a W/P would be too tall at 41" tall, and possible offer less horizontal dispersion of center dialogue.

Wow, looks like it's going to be bigger than B&W's HTM-1D
