I just realized the Sasha has saved me $40k from going with the Maxx3's. The Maxx3's are supposedly very impressive, I still have not taken the time to drive over and audition a pair but after hearing the Sasha I realized they will fit my needs perfectly in the new room. I can't ask for much more. The difference can be applied to other important things such as full acoustic treatment and a better source.

You could go for the Maxx3's but then you would have move up in the Lamm food chain.
Do you feel lucky?

Nowhere to move up in Lamm except to the 18w tubes or the new $130k 30w ML3's. The M2.2s are a bit more power than the M1.2s but I'd rather have more class A watts which the M1.2s give you. It would be hard to convince me the Sasha can be driven by 18w or tube power with various types of music.

I'm going to miss the Sophia 2's, I am almost glad the wait will be a few months as I am enjoying my time with them.

You're good where you are at then. Maybe a new source component sometime in the future?

I have heard the Ayre gear paired several times with Vandersteen speakers. Seems to work pretty well too.

Interesting to see that the logo shows they are the Sasha W/P.

I have a call in to the local Wilson Dealer to see when he will have the Sasha's paired with both the Krell and McIntosh amps he carries.

Congratulations on the Wilson Sasha! I knew they would be the ones to grace your new room. I have yet to audition them BUT from the specs, the 1.8 Ohm certainly would need to be seriously looked at from amplifiers point of view!

The Wilsons have always been on my list, the Maxx and certainly now the Sasha (I would be lying if I said I am not, having owned the 6's and then the 7's).

For now till 2010, my Acapellas will be the ones .... and until I can convince the local rep here to have an A/B in my new home between the Sasha and the Acapella's, I would not just go and buy - something of a bad habit I had before!

Once again, I am so happy for you (and seriously, do have some envy ...) on the new Sasha you are going to own! Ok, Ok, I just need to have my head screw up in place before I plonk away the cash I just banked in after selling off some of my watches!

Cheers!
