I agree 1,000% I have both, a big Weber gas grill (Which is a really good gas grill), and a large Big Green Egg.

I use the Weber when I need to do something fast, and use the BGE when I want perfection and the best tasting food! The thing is amazing! Perfect temperature control. Cook at 700 degrees or 170 degrees and anywhere in between.

A nice Fire Magic Echelon Diamond costs as much as a good Turntable.

Julian, I've always had my eye on one of these. Just may be time to visit BBQs Galore again...

I have heard very good things about the DCS.

Does anybody have experience with the TEC 100% infra-red burner grills?

Always been a van of Viking. The grills are wonderful. Plumbed natural gas = never a "omgwtf" moment, and a must-do for any serious outdoor chef.

I've got friends that swear by the egg - may have to be something I try in the future.

I'm looking for a new grill. I have this out at the hangar, and was all set to buy a second one, but they don't have these anymore, at least not at HD. I might have to expand my horizons. Weber for me has always proved to be a good value, but I'm not liking what I've seen thus far.

+1 on the BGE. I have the extra large, and use it for everything. I cook on it 4-5 nights a week, year round.

I can't even bring myself to cooking with the old natural gas Weber. It is so inferior it's not even funny. I need to just clean it up and get rid if it on Craigslist. Since getting the BGE the Weber has never been uncovered again.

Lump charcoal rules.
