I currently own an original MC240 & C-22 I have the Dahlquist DQ10's - they are not real efficient(86db@1watt@1meter) but the combo is really good, could use a sub though

Jerome, I've owned a MC- 240 and the MC-225 for many years. I run my 240 into a set of JBL C-51 Apollo's. They are loaded with LE-15's, LE-85's into an HL-91 horn, and the 075 ring radiator. The crossovers are the LX-5 and the N-7000. This is the sound I grew up with and it still sounds great! My MC-225 is run into a set of McIntosh ML1C's or sometimes into the JBL Lancer 99's. I think vintage should play with vintage.

my local newspaper recently ran a story on me and my DIY turntable. I made sure to have some McIntosh eyecandy in the background, unfortunately both mc240's were borrowed for the shoot, but I at least got to play with them for a couple of days!
