Dan....speaking of the old days, in browsing eBay tonight I saw a pair of 4312's and thought of you. I was wondering have you ever posted pics here of your vintage system? (MR74, MA5100 etc) I don't recall seeing pics, or if I did, my memory has failed.

Jim.. I still have a RG Pro-20 Dynamic Processor in the main-line system. It's connected to the External Processor loop of the C33 RECORD track, and if it's not expanding FM or other sources, it's being used to examine the relative dynamics of source material via LED display. The C33 has an expander (compandor) but the RG circuit is of superior design and performance IMHO.

Hi from North Dakota. Just joined the forum, a user named "Disappointed" at the Early Retirement forum, pointed me here. I have a C-28, MC2100, two ML1C speakers, MQ101 EQ, one C4 found at a yard sale for $5, a matched stereo pair of C8s purchased for $20 in 1969, and an old Mc tuner that, if I remember correctly, is an MR65. For non Mc equipment: a Soundcraftsmen AM/FM tuner and Audiocontrol EQ. Also among the stuff is an EH Scott 23 tube radio from 1936 and a Zenith Transoceanic AM/FM/SW transistor radio. I am looking forward to getting more into this forum. Would post pics but I don't have any at this time. My former place of employment did not allow cell phones with cameras in the building and I have never bothered to use my digital SLR to photograph anything other than the EH Scott. Those pictures can be seen at:

Yes, that engraving was an unfortunate mistake on my part. The apartment next to mine had been burglarized and I got a little paranoid. That is actually an Operation ID number. It was a program in the early 70s to mark valuables. I have had that radio since 1960.
