I just added the added the above to the system, putting them under the CD player. On the maiden flight now. I have to assume there is virtually no break in to these.

To be honest I had almost zero expectations. The system already had inky black silences, tight bass and a mid-range to die for. And yet Peter Bizelwicz (Symposium's founder) promised a significant improvement - "Like a new component."

The improvement is, in fact, significant. The mid-range is clearer and I would have sworn before that there was nothing to fix. Bass is tighter and more authoritive. Transients are a bit crisper. Not sure if I will declare it a "new component" yet, but boy am I surprised.

The improvement in bass is really quite surprising. Better timbral definition - not louder, just more present and natural sounding. The improved bottom end is really helping the mid-range clarity. Song lyrics that had been obscure are coming through more clearly. Not sure why I am so surprised, but I am.

Randy.......I began as a skeptic with the Rollerblack Jr.'s, but now know exactly what you are talking about. Both my living room system and my studio system have Rollerblock Jr.'s under the preamps, controller, and CD players. I also have them under my MS750 music server, and will be using them under my new Oppo BDP-95 when it arrives. It is exactly as you have described, better detail in low frequency definition, and an overall tighter focus throughout the midrange. I can highly recommend the Symposium Rollerblock Jr.'s. I am pleased to know you are also experiencing audible sound system improvements with Symposium products.

Dan, Listening to Aja this morning was like hearing it for the first time. The tighter, more authoritative bass provides a foundation that really lets the mid-range shine and the upper range sparkle.

A couple of CD's sounded better without the Symposium gear, but the vast majority are greatly improved. On some of the CD's the sound stage widened and deepened immensely.

Now I am thinking about RollerBlock Juniors under the preamp. I don't think a Svelte Pad Plus will fit between the posts. Never ends, huh?

Randy did you try the Svelte Plus alone and the Rollerblocks alone to see which was contributing more towards the improved bass and midrange clarity?

Randy.......Audio is a wonderful hobby. Rollerbock Jr.'s under the preamp and CD player are where I heard the greatest improvements. To be honest, I wasn't expecting to be able to hear a true improvement, thinking that the concept of isolating a preamp or CD player was more voodoo than reality, but I am now a believer. The Rollerblock Jr.'s raised the bar for both the living room system and the studio system.

Cyril, I did not. My son, the reluctant helper, was whining so much about giving me five minutes of his time that I just went all in. The CD player is 33 pounds so I could not do it alone without unhooking it and, well, ....... I'm lazy.
