Oh come on guys, everyone knows that a few twists of bare lamp cord around the speaker terminals works best.

Well, basically that is what is pictured in current McIntosh owner's manuals and referenced in Roger Russell site.

There you go, proof positive. If McIntosh and Roger says so, then it must be true.... I'm thinking of writing Dave Wilson to advise him that he can save a bit of money by not using Transparent inside his speakers but simply the lamp cord they sell at Home Depot. I should probably make a few copies of that letter and send it out to Andy at Rockport Technologies as well.

Of course Roger decided to offer Cardas in his own speakers and who was it that's behind Tributaries Cables? Oh, yeah... Gordon J. Gow..

Well, I can't fault Dave, Roger, or Gordon. They are in the business of making money and people are willing to spend it on expensive wire. Roger said he had originally planned to used plain copper wire in his speaker but decided people would be more impressed with Cardas wire.

Except others didn't go on crusades to prove their non-importance before offering them in their own products or actually selling wire..

I wish he'd take down that wire page already. Every flat earther loves to refer back to it.

RonC said the same thing, at one time.

My Grand Piano speakers will be here Friday . Here is what I bought Sonus Faber Grand Piano Domus, A1 For Sale | AudiogoN
One set of cables I have are Audioquest Mammoths and they are the size of a garden hose, I know size does not matter . They have spades all around and I hate them. Just too hard to work with. I am thinking about re-terminating them with banana's. Should I re-terminate them with bananas or spades? Or sell them and buy something else?
Thanks Drew

I would suggest you keep what the ones you are familiar with so when you first listen to your new speakers that is the only variable. First tweak in the listening position, then if you are not happy with your Mammoths then start looking elsewhere. One other suggestion that several others here will agree with, try and go with one manufacturer for your interconnects and speaker cable. You should find some synergy going with one company rather than piecemeal it. It may take time but you will be happier.
Jim
