That is it's purpose. Gotta have a Ps Audio Perfect Wave DAC of course to use it.

I think I misinterpreted your question.
I don't know if it only functions via Ethernet connection or wireless communication with HD, NAS, or computer in another room.

The Bridge has a built in ethernet connection, but also supports wireless with the addition of a USB wifi Dongle. Wired ethernet is best if you can do it.

Do we have any perfect wave users here besides Howie?

Anyone else planning on getting this?

OK, so the Bridge will not wirelessly connect to the internet without a USB wifi dongle.

I have learnt in the course of setting up my own NAS that WiFi, though great, does not provide the connectivity as solid as WIRED!

Hence, I decided, after much experimentation which my dear friend showed me to go the "WIRED" way, using "power over internet", a sort of hybrid wireless! No more "staggering images when viewing videos" especially. And of course the possible effect the transfer could have when listening to music.

Jim,

Adult Hifi, HiFi Porn ....

Nah, just joking. Ripped movies like Avatar, etc, ... all stored on my NAS played via Apple TV/iTunes.

The latest copy of HiFi+ had a complete write up on the new combo of the Sooloos + 808i.3. Buying both would costs US$28k. For me, I would need to fork out S$27k (and trade in the current 808i.2) if I wanted both.

The way I see it, the current 808i.2 serves me well and I dont have any use for the Sooloos which the iTunes/ATV could not do better.

So, long story short, I am in Audio Nirvana for once. Just play and be happy!

The only thing I would probably upgrade would be very soft, flexible, not so thick and long (9 feet each side) power cables for the DSP8000 speakers. I am looking at the Shunyata's el cheapo Venom series. I think they serve better than the ones I had now which is the "standard issue". S$1.1k should do the trick! Let me see if I will walk into the same shop that we auditioned the Avantgarde/Air Tight shop in Adelphi to get them tomorrow.

Might even go for an entire Shunyata change - from Power Chords to Interconnects.

Cheers!

Sounds like you have been snake and got the Venom from those Diamondback's, Copperhead's, King Cobra's, Anaconda's, and Python's.
