Yesterday I received my 2 new Soloist SE's from the "World's Best Dealer" Hi Ivan I installed them today, replacing the 99 cent outlets that were at the end of each of my 20 Amp dedicated lines, which I installed myself a couple of years ago.
One thing I learned, beyond any reasonable doubt, is that ANYTHING in the electrical path needs to burn in. Every cable, interconnect, component and, yes, outlet needs time and use to perform at its best. Of course, I could not A/B the old outlets and the new ones, but after a couple of hours the sound became richer, more softly detailed and natural compared to the first few minutes. Now, after 4 hours, I am loving the piano of Ann Sweeten. My major objectives were surge protection, construction quality and the satisfaction that the weakness in my electrical path was eliminated. These outlets are definitely a first class product.
They make wonderful birthday and holiday presents from The Wife.

I just installed the soloist SE I also received from Ivan. Tearing down the rack was a PIA and now I have to put everything back before I can start the brake in process myself. I am waiting on my PPP back so I have another issue in the form that I am using my spare power conditioner so I have enough outlets for the components. I will have to wait until I get the extra conditioner out of the loop to listen closely for improvements. At least it is done and the soloist will have time to burn in while I wait...... that thing sure latches on to the plugs.

I like being a "little" nuts and hanging out with people that are a "little" nuts because we "Crack" each other up.
Seriously, I do have good listening skills and. after several hours, there was a noticable improvement in the sound. I feel quite sure that my 99 cent outlets always sounded the same but, the Soloist is an intricate design inside. Even the WireWorld SE power cords improve with use, and they are "only" wire.

Glad to hear you are loving the Soloist SE's. I remember last year when I purchased my first Soloist SE from the 'Legendary' One I had to install it in and outside wall where my existing single box dedicated outlet was.

A lot of work and mess, but after a couple hours and a lot of noise I sure did feel a lot better about that extra layer of protection from surge issues. Plus it looks so darn nice(not that you ever see it), but what an awesome product.

Yes, Ivan I think most of us qualify as certifiably insane, but I would not have it any other way
